    The George Washington University Inn is located in the Historic Foggy Bottom Neighborhood in downtown Washington DC,just one block away from the Foggy Bottom Metro. Foggy Bottom is home of The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, and The George Washington University, all within a five to ten minute walk of the GWU Inn. There are a variety of restaurants and retail shops within two blocks of the hotel including Safeway Grocery Store, CVS Drug Store, a U.S. Post Office, and several banks. The Georgetown and Dupont Circle neighborhoods are just a few blocks further, and each neighborhood offers a vast selection of restaurants, nightlife, and upscale retail shopping. The Business District is also within an easy walk of the George Washington University Inn, as are several of the Governmental offices such as The State Department, and The Department of Interior. For those destinations that are not within walking distance, guests can walk one block to the Foggy Bottom Metro Station (the underground subway system) and take the Metro to the desired destination. The DC Metro System is a very user friendly way of getting around the city. Rock Creek Park, which offers running and biking trails, and the Potomac River Waterfront are also within two blocks of the hotel.

    Restaurants  Nectar is located on the lobby floor of The George Washington University Inn. The restaurant is among the favorite of food critics in Washington, DC, including the Washington Posts Tom Sietsema. Nectar is also the perfect pre-theatre restaurant as it is just two blocks from the John F. Kennedy Center of Performing Arts. Nectar is open for breakfast every day, and dinner is offered Tuesday through Saturday. The dinner menu offers an elegant contemporary American cuisine with amazing desserts.

  •   The George Washington University Inn has two meeting rooms that when combined can accommodate: Conference Style up to 38 people. U Shape up to 32 people. Hollow Square up to 36 people. Classroom Style up to 40 people. Our meeting rooms are on the second floor and each room has natural light supplied by a wall of windows. Each of the meeting facilities also has its own lavatory and small kitchentte with room for catering organizations to set up for breakfasts, and other needed meals. The larger meeting room has complimentary television and VCR, a dry erase board, flip charts and a supply of markers. If additional AV equipment is needed, that can be supplied at additional costs.
